“At last came the golden month of the wild folk-
– honey-sweet May,
when the birds come back,
and the flowers come out,
and the air is full of the sunrise scents
and songs of the dawning year.”
“And after winter folweth grene May.”

Iris x germanica ‘Indian Chief’ with columbine
Isn’t it crazy how fast the May’s of our lives come around! Lovely photos of your flowers and I like the quotes as well. Which hosta variety is that? And the iris 🙂
It is indeed…. and also crazy how fast May comes and goes. It is upper 80s to 90 here right now and the spring flowers don’t last long in this heat. Here today, gone tomorrow….
The Hosta is sold as ‘White Feather.’ I probably mail ordered it from one of the catalogs several winters ago. I’ve had it at least 4-5 years and it is very reliable and easy to grow. I am wondering the same thing about the Iris! I believe it is an old variety- one someone gave me. I’ve got to figure out its cultivar. I just love its colors! Be well ❤ ❤ ❤

Indian Chief, what a superb name! Thank you for the names of both. I’d like to add White Feather to my collection, I’ll be on the lookout. Thanks again.
