“Philosophy [nature] is written in that great book
which ever is before our eyes –
– I mean the universe –
– but we cannot understand it
if we do not first learn the language
and grasp the symbols in which it is written.
The book is written in mathematical language,
and the symbols are triangles, circles
and other geometrical figures,
without whose help it is impossible
to comprehend a single word of it;
without which one wanders in vain
through a dark labyrinth.”
.
Galileo Galilei

“The harmony of the world is made manifest
in Form and Number,
and the heart and soul
and all the poetry of Natural Philosophy
are embodied in the concept of mathematical beauty.”

Wonderful! It looks like you have quite a lot in bloom in your garden! Love your embroidery, too! 🙂
I was marveling over Hebes today – talk about living geometries…. wow!
Always something new to really notice and SEE happening in the garden ☺
Thank you ! The cold this week was successful in slowing down the unfolding of spring . 20’s will do that . … but we are happy to see what has survived . I hope the peaches and pears will continue opening and will come through OK. We remain about 4 weeks ahead of 2016 in the progression . I trust you are well and warm .
