“Is it possible to become friends with a butterfly?”
“It is if you first become a part of nature.
You suppress your presence as a human being,
stay very still, and convince yourself
that you are a tree or grass or a flower.
It takes time,
but once the butterfly lets its guard down,
you can become friends quite naturally.”

Gorgeous – I’m mad about butterflies; as a child I would rush around with a net trying to capture them, now as an adult I abide my time with a camera – not an easy subject to photograph. Love the poetry, and the pix.
Thank you ❤ I was the child rushing around capturing lightening bugs and bumble bees, then letting them go. I'll always remember the first time I saw a group of butterflies on the ground, drinking from some wet area on a trail in the mountains. Just magical! They are wonderful to photograph once they decide to cooperate. Thank you for visiting today ❤
Loving the new look blog, WG. 🙂
Why, thank you, Hugh! I’m loving this soft blue, too, for January. Hope the new year has been good to you. ❤
