  1. Spring! I’ve never heard of or seen a star magnolia. Beautiful flowers. My irises are rising up now, too. 🙂

  2. Is this your new Star Magnolia? She’s lovely. And the brave new iris – spring has sprung in your garden!

    • Yes, yes, and Yes!!! 😉 Another afternoon spent working outside. I’ve pruned, re-potted, planted, fertilized, weeded, divided, and started cuttings. What more can one hope for on the first day of April? The Muscadine grapes I started from seeds two autumns ago all now have new, permanent places to grow. Most of the new little perennials are in the ground, as are the bag of Orchid glad bulbs picked up on impulse in February. There were 8 buzzards circling at one point as I pruned back the Lantana stems, but when I stood up and whistled to them they took off elsewhere…. 😉 Hope your snow continues to melt, Eliza.
