Weekly Photo Challenge: Shadowed

January 4, 2014 garden 038

Without shadows, how would we see into the depths?

Shadows offer perspective; a needed dose of reality, sometimes.

When the glare becomes too much, we seek the cool and restful shadows.

They offer us a different view of things.

We may seek the light, but we appreciate it even more when our experience grows somewhat

  1. Love that photo of the marsh & creek at sunset – perfect example of light and shadow!

  2. Beautifully done, WG. 🙂

  3. Nice shots for this week’s challenge. Are those big boulders from the Pacific Northwest?

    • Thank you, Barbara 😉 Those little granite rocks are part of the hardening along the bank of Powhatan Creek, right here in James City County near Jamestown. Look closely, and you’ll see a leaf to give scale. Funny, isn’t it, how they look like boulders to you, and they are really just stepping stones for me to get a better angle out over the Creek 😉 Hope you enjoy the weekend, Barbara, WG
