  1. Lovely photos… my favorite is the River Beach… looks like a good candidate for kayak exploration!

    • It is, Jane. This was a very busy place today with swimmers, boaters, and folks out fishing. This is along the James River, in James City Co. VA. It is fairly shallow here. There is a Kayak camp going on this week for kids a little further down towards Jamestown Island.

      • That sounds like fun!
        We lived in PA prior to crossing the Oregon Trail 42 years ago… I recall thinking VA was a pretty state.

        When I was a little girl my best friend was from Richmond. I LOVED the Southern manner of speech of her parents and went through a phase when I was actually mad at my parents for not birthing me in Richmond so I would sound like them. That still makes me smile 🙂
