One Word Photo Challenge: Salmon

April 7 sunset 004

Salmon,

Where pink slides into orange,

Or is it orange slowly sliding up towards pink?

April 7 sunset 001

Softest of colors, salmon;

When it tints the sky at sunset.

April 1 2014 garden 080

When it whispers along the edges of a daffodil’s corona.

April 1 2014 garden 097

When it blooms into the petals of a rose.

A soft ice cream color,

A color for bridesmaids, and cashmere cardigans.

A color which whispers,

April 1 2014 garden 087

Inviting you to relax,

To lighten up a little,

And to walk more gently on the Earth.
