Afternoon sun
Slowly sliding down the trunks
Of distant trees,
Minutes measured by branches.
Golden rays illuminating
Each fragile petal like Templar Glass.
Golden light,
Illuminating golden petals;
Gilding each leaf and branch
For a moment only,
Before greeting the horizon
Like a dearly loved friend.
Retiring so slowly, so silently;
Yet allowing twilight
To linger in the garden,
For a while longer,
With me.

Thank you so much, Gwen. Thank you for visiting Forest Garden 😉 The garden is the most wonderful place right now as plants begin to wake up from this long harsh winter. It is a joy to see what has survived and is starting to grow again. Best wishes, WG
I missed most of our sunset tonight so I’m so grateful I could bathe in that golden light here, through your garden images and words. Beautiful, WG. Thank you. 🙂
You are so welcome, Robin. Thank you for stopping by Forest Garden today. Hope you have enjoyed this day of beautiful sunshine. Hugs, WG
